Great post! There a so many cool tools and apps out there. While it isn't exactly a tool for making Twitter fun and exciting, I personally love Ref.ly. It's a great tool for people who want to share Bible verses on Twitter.

I don't understand all this twittering and why is it different than e-mailing and facebook? Then again is it for retired people and who am I going to twitter? When I e-mail letters to friends I don't get answers only more jokes. Is everyone becoming a narcissist and know one really cares what others or doing and tweetering is a form of therapy?

Thanks for the list. As an avid Twitter junkie and Google user, I've found TwitterGadget.com to be a great, recent find. It installs as a gadget on my homepage, so no software to install, refreshes automatically, so I never miss a tweet, and has a nice, clean interface.
