Recently I started a Social Network for Pet owners and since I've leaned hat there are many Networks available. I could say that mine is different, but then thats not true because the objective is always the same Im sure. That is to bring people loving Pets together with other people who love pets. I've joined many sites over the years, but I didn't feel quite at home until I found Yeepet.comhttp://www.yeepet.com. There are many places to showcase your pet, and even yourself, but the feel of the community is the most important feature to retain and increase membership.

I used to like Dogster and was a member for two years. But since the folks that run the site started reading everyone's personal on-site mail (pup mail) in order to enforce the "must be fun and friendly at all times" policy - my friends and I have all left the site. When two users/friends can not blow off steam about a third user who is a moron, it's a little too Big Brother for me.
