You should do a little more research to come up with a better list of mac apps. there is a seemingly endless selection of amazing applications you can download for a wide variety of purposes, and this list is hardly complete. These certainly aren't the first ones I would think to suggest.
If you just switched, you haven't had enough time to experience all the invaluable mac software.

I have been a Mac user for more than 20 years. I still prefer Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office over the competitors. I highly recommend Firefox, Toast, Gimp, and Crossover.
