I have tried to use these flash layouts...I do not have a bad computer. It is brand new only about a month. When the layouts say to put everything below this area, I do....and yet I cannot get everything on there how it needs to be. They don't work right.

Emma is right. If your profile is set to private, you must add lovemyflash as a myspace friend. You also need to have a flash player installed on your computer. (If you ever play web based games, you most likely do.)

I'm not a computer genius by any means, but "how" exactly do you go about "adding" lovemyflash as a friend on myspace? The lovemyflash layout works fine on my site, but take the private setting off to make it work. Now when I try to set my profile back to private, my layout gets all weird and doesn't work! So how do I add lovemyflash as a friend, what am I missing??

when i added it 2daii. i did evrything they told me to do. evrything worked but then myspace deleted my myspacee?? and i have no idea whyy. but its coz of this shit. so ... these codes or layouts (wtv) suxx.

They work just fine! But today i went into our family myspace, and the layout was down. So i went to the web page to see if i could get another and that was down.. A couple friends on our friends list has this and theirs was down... SO maybe cause its new it still has some glitches. Will use again the love them!

alriht so i added one of their layouts that i loved to my myspace yesterday and it worked ll last night but when i tried to et on my myspace tonight it wouldn't work. so i wnt to the love my flash website and i tried previewing another layout but it said could not connect. is anyone else having this problem? does anyone know if it's the website or mycomputer...if so...also how to fix it? thanks :)

It worked for like 3 hours on the layout I got today. Now its down. (myspace.com/franksplc) I tried adding iloveflash to my friends list except hers is marked as private... and then it asks for her last name or email in order to send the friend request. So whoever said they need to be on your friends list is a liar. So idk what to do. I really want them to fix it.. btw my friends is down too. so its probably temporary.

LoveMyFlash is not working right now. It is really, seriously down. and don't tell me i don't know how to work it because this is my 3rd different profile with them, and even this one was working. It just stopped working.....
I have a theory, though. Of the people that have had problems, which internet browser do yo use? (i.e. Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera, etc.)
What version of your browser are you using? (This can be found by clicking "Help" at the top, and then "About.")
Even the LoveMyFlash Myspace page is down. And it's not just my computer. It's also down on my sister's, my mom's, my neighbor's, and my girlfriend's.
This has happened before, but never this long. (June 2007, October 2007, March 2007; all were temporary)

I added one of these layouts to my myspace. Everything works except for the links. And I read on there that it says you need to add them to your friends list before it will work.

I tried adding them to my friends list but myspace says it took the site down because it was known for phishing and spamming. So, does that mean I cant use one of their layouts?

The only thing that's wrong with them is they are not dummie friendly. If you know what you are doing and have a decent computer they are easy and they work.
I was using one of them that works with the site "flickr" to show off all my photos for like 6 months and it worked just fine.
Now i have the one with the vinal records.
I dont think i'll go back to the normal html layouts.

There is another place that has the flash layouts/website flash building its called

wix.com

and unlike lovemyflash, you actually build it from scratch or you can use up any made up one and customize 100percent ur way. you can add the widgets vids change the utube vid front add swf files, practically like just doing it in a program on ur pc like macromedia, except more user friendlyish. its still in the works, or so it seems to me, although lots of potential-moreso than lovemyflash i think.

The first layout I tried worked perfectly but the second time I tried to create one it kept on saying ' to activate this layout you need to add them as a friend and I did but it still didnt work!!

To all you guys who are having problems, I think you should know that Love My Flash seems to only work with Profile 1.0 =]

When I was using 2.0 it always told me to add them even though I already did, but now since I switched back to 1.0 it works perfectly.

Mine worked for about a week then all of a sudden it stopped working for NO reason!!! It would say that I had to go and request "lovemyflash" to be my friend, BUT HE WAS ALREADY ON MY FRIEND LIST. Makes no damn sense to me!!!

first off i'd just like to say that love my flash has come up with some really inspiring work, can make a big difference to the standard myspace layout. i've been learning flash and action script 2 for over a year, still very much a novice and i've noticed certain layouts work better then others. i went for a simple design that you could rename all the different pages to your liking, everything went smooth, there have been a few glitches but on the whole it's worked well. my girlfriend who's built websites knows how to use html, css, etc, had problems with her profile for a while, she persevered and sorted them in the end, but it took a while, so i can understand some peoples frustration (she also has her account set to private).

i've seen a few pages on myspace that don't work to well, flickering graphics buttons that don't function, so my advice would be for peeps having problems, is to try a few different designs, make sure you choose the right layout as some are designed for standard profiles some for music profiles etc. try a few different browsers too, as internet explorer the most popular browser, sucks for web standards compliance, you can get an idea of how bad i.e is here http://acid3.acidtests.org/ a site that test's your browsers web standards compatibility (use two different browsers to compare results)

one thing i'd like to see from love my flash is the widgets section going live, it's a pain having to have widgets at the bottom of the page just above your friends.

They were on my friend's list and everything was working fine until a few days ago. Now its saying I have to add them as a friend again. I'm getting no response to the S.O.S. messages I've been sending to them. You think they could at least address the issue. Pretty lame.

this sucks I loved the layout from myflash but it does not activate at all. I have had the same layout for a longtime and all of a sudden it says I have to add them in order to activate it. bummer I wonder if there is another site like this

My problem is that, i click on the layout, but the "customise" page, just goes onto the layout, and i can't even write my name in. It's really starting to F*** me off.

I am not sure what is going on with LMF. I have used the same setup for a year now and all of a sudden it says I need to add them as a friend to even activate. I have had them on my friends list since the beginning. Nothing has changed, except logging in 2 days ago to see its borked.
