The 2advanced guys are a good example of terrible web design, and exactly HOW NOT to build sites. It's a pile of crap.

You call this evolution? It's a giant step backwards in terms of usability. It's so over the top you can't even use it. I couldn't even use it in 2001, when stuff like this was considered "cutting edge." I'm glad to see there are less sites like this today.
