Ummm... Ok no. Vista is gay. I used it and didn't like it. It crashed just trying to tell me the system info. That is pretty bad... Why would an OS need 1GB of RAM? Mac OS X can run using less than half a gig. I do it on a G4. And my iMac 24-inch that I have now, kicks ass. Faster than any PC I ever used. I have 3 GB of RAM and a 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. Faster than my brothers Quad-Core PC with 4GB of RAM running XP. Have a great day....

I've used microsoft products for many long and painful years. Just bought a mac book and will never own anything else again, OS X is so much better than windows (especially VISTA). Take my advise, develope a myspaceIM for mac. Windows Vista sucks, not only is it a rip off of mac OS X, it is also a memory hog. If I have to stop using MS IM for not using windows OH WELL my gain their lose.

Vista sucks balls. I have it, and I am using it as I speak. I used to love Windows so much, and I thought that it was going places... but no. The have to spend five years making a new OS that doesn't deliver what they promised. Sure, maybe things will be better after the service pack, but I am not going to let my hopes go to high. I had to re-configure it to stop asking me stupid questions all the time. I am not kidding, it asked me FOUR times... all with a different kind of message, but each one asked "accept or deny". Plus, alot of people have issues with some online gaming. You have to reconfigure it to accept update patches from certain games. And there is much more, but I cannot think at the top of my head. None the less, it should not be that difficult to do what you want to do. I guess the only perk is that I have not gotten a single virus, but I am still not 100% sure because Vista dosn't like my Symantic Anti-Virus software, which apparently isn't compatable. I am a paying customer of this product, and I cannot use it... that is a shame. Anyways. I just felt like ranting about it. Mac Rules, I wish I had one now.

Yeah, If i had the money for a mac i would definitely get one but since i don't have that kind of money right now I'm using linux ubuntu.I tried vista and was very disappointed the only thing it is good for is halo 2 vista, but i hated it so i got ubuntu it is a little hard to get started with considering right not its not detecting my wireless card but once i get the driver for it i will be completely happy and get limewire running.

Fedora Core 7 is great and I have no problems with it at all.
Ubuntu gave me problems, FreeSpire SUCKED, but Fedora is Kicking.
Have no problems with viruses and it has a built in firewall.
Configured properly it is a sweat deal. Linux is the OS of the
future. Plus I love the fact my router is also a firewall.
I totally said F Bill Gates and I will never use any OS from
Micro Sucks ever again.

You only need Linux nowadays. Works with windows apps, plays all your videos and opens all your old documents, and it *looks* so much better then Mac and Windows simply because you can _easily_ make it look exactly how you want it to look....and just as easily change your mind and make it different tomorrow. Windows and Mac give you like 3 color choices and say "have at it you creative geniuses"

Ya, Macs are the best.
It pisses me of that MySpace is centered around Windows.
It's annoying that you can't get MySpace IM just because you use a good computer.
Also, everything on MySpace looks different on Safari. Some of the links are in different places, the borders on your home page are kinda screwed up, and if you use transparency on your profile, it's too transparent to read clearly.
I thought Tom was a computer genius.
He should know that Windows is the worst system ever created, regardless of what version.

Yeah, personally I think that it's not fair to mac users but I am a windows person so what do I care? I have had very bad experiences with macs. My school uses them for computer work, they almost always crash or freeze and saving your work is a pain in the butt, so it printing. Look into Pidgin, it's got a build for linux and it supports the MyspaceIM protocol. I'm not sure if it's supported by mac though. I agree that vista's not all that great. Mac is pretty good, but it's nothing more than an expensive, pretty face stuck on top of a linux base. My $250.00 linux box can do anything a mac can do, and then some.

although I used HP computers and windows software for the majority of my life... I began on apple macintosh computers in my kindergarden computer lab... yes that was approx. 15 years ago... and I should have stuck with APPLE!!!!!! My first year in college my HP laptop, though it survived 3 years of highschool, completly crashed... because XP failed me... THEN i was forced to buy another Best Buy product [which does NOT includ Mac] with the extended warranty... unfortunately this laptop was equipped with VISTA... no more than three weeks later upon the eve of Final Exams... my laptop self destructed.. i lost all my photos, papers, documents... it was a complete MESS. None the less, I marched my happy ass to the Mac store and purchased my first macbook pro & it has been with me ever since... thank god for simplification... AND to the guy who posted above me... mac has been outselling PC have you not seen the commercials on tv? hilarious because its all true!

I'm sure it's really easy to run your OS on 1/2 GB because you don't have sh*t but the OS and Apps that come with the OS to run.. Windows gets bogged down because there are actually people making applications for it and people load their PCs up.. Windows is a good general purpose platform; so it takes a little more ram.. darn at 40$ for a GB I'm not too concerned. Mac is just very good at a couple things.. that's it. It has no serious business application... and that's why MAC users are most certainly not the users of the future.
p.s. Vista does suck, it's like ME v2.0 .. XP or Win2k3 is the way to go.. or perhaps Linux if you really don't want to do or pay for anything.

okay let me start you can use pidgin for linux and you can use another type of multi messenger for mac os x i had mac os x at one point and i had myspace messenger working thru a multi messenger in mack. i felt too limited with mac with printing and other problems. so i went back to linux platform because linux is easier for me. but we should be happy that we have the less popular os. as you know there has been news that viruses are starting to get going with mac and this is caused by some growth and use. if mac had the 80% market they would have the problems that windows is having. windows is doing rather well and vista is a great os. just because you hear mac or windows or linux and you automaticly think a certin one is trash you should re think your ideas if linux or mac was so great why doesnt it own the market. its because most people grew up with the pc and i did so as well. you all draw up conculsions on a os and i think os wars only show the persons stupidity and need to understand that myspace will probley never care about us linux or unix (mac) users. because its only a small percent and why would you want to add there spyware to your computer anyway. lets just play nice and stop saying mac sucks windows sucks and linux sucks all os sucks in some ways and are good in many others.

So I've read all of these comments and I just want to say I use Mysapce messenger everyday, frankly I cant live without it. I'm military and move around and its my main way of staying in touch.. I recently bought a mac and previously having no mac experience, I was upset I wasn't able to use myspace. And I thought it would be so stupid to run my other computer just for the messenger. I frankly dont know how ive lived without a mac! I love it! Im slow learning with it but its so much better than windows, I got so sick of my windows repeatedly crashing etc. I will never go back to windows for personal reasons. But for all you missing myspace im try ebuddy.com it does the trick for my myspace messenger needs. Its not exactly the same but it works! Its better than not having one at all on your mac.

what's up with all the mac vs vista argument. xp was fine but is now dated. "with current hardware" vista does run better. mac is just as good as xp or vista. i also like linux a lot. i won't own a mac, just too different from what i'm used to. i wish other companies would take the "it just works" attitude like apple has. and Myspace IM would probably work on mac under wine, at least i think mac has wine or something like it ;)

the lack of support for Mac is a huge mistake...
a very large portion of college students in the US use Apple computers. Support for this should have been obvious, but then again if i were myspace i would have also had a myspace chat app for the iphone...

with that in mind, it's no wonder why myspace is thinning out in activity while facebook flourishes...
especially since facebook's messaging system is simple, and lacks any required download which is priceless.

and please, allow me to giggle at the thought of anyone being foolish enough to buy an inferior OS just to process a chat application...

um, sure. i find both mac's and pc's annoying. LINUX all the way baby!! i can use myspace chat via pidgin.
if mac people really are wanting to get to myspace chat, then try http://www.meebo.com/ it's option for mac users. "Meebo, the web platform for IM on any network or site. Meebo connects you to MSN, Yahoo, AOL/AIM, MySpace, Facebook, Google Talk, and many more!" it's all online so nothing to download. seems decent enough.

Vista sucks wind. while macs are ok..i prefer PclinuxOS. works sorta like win xp, but without all the virus's and whatnot. seems to be a more common sense type os and hey F~R~E~E!! with compiz-fusion, i get the awesome vista type graphics with half the resource use. my total memory in my beat up ole emachine is just shy of 1 gb. i hate loathe and despise vista.
mac os is merely slightly annoying but useable. and yes, i've used win 95/98/xp & vista pc's as well as a mac ibook w/ OS 10.4 or there bouts. :D

linux rules hands down...
