If the PC platform is so great, why does the entire United States and British military use APPLE made computers in almost all places a computer would be needed. Even the flight computer for the new F22 Raptor is MAC/RISC based hardware and software R educed I nstruction S et C mmand. In every one line of code on an apple, it does 1000 lines of code worth of excecutions on a PC CLONE. IBM doesn't even make pc's anymore... They got screwed by not lisensing there OS like Apple did.
Also Mac is about good everything... Its sound is awesome... just watch "Mtv's" Making the Band. notice in the sound studios at BAD BOY records, every both has MAC PRO's running everything. Is the hit music player of the century called a PCpod or an iPOD???(made by apple) What do base your comments???? my G4 has gone 9 years and NEVER have I had a virus, NEVER has the computer needed to be taken to a repair center...Sorry to shatter your dreams, there IS a version of µtorrent ported for the mac... DUMB ASS. Trust me... ALL the mac users are glad you own a PC and are fine with you announcing it to the world. It is just yet another documentation of someone that has an inferior compter system to the apple computer users... PC's are bought by people that can't recognize or afford true workmanship and quality... You will never own a Ferrari, mercedes, NOTHIING that rings true of quality... as boats go, you'll never own a Chris Craft. Pc's fill the need for people in gehttos and trailer parks that need at least something to use so the glorified calculators you call a PC clone is for you... go waller in shit some more you fucking loser ASSWIPE!!!

Re: Torrent Software for Mac OS X: Transmission and Xtorrent

You forgot to mention xTorrent is built on Transmission code.

Re: Torrent Software for Mac OS X: Transmission and Xtorrent

thanks u

Re: Torrent Software for Mac OS X: Transmission and Xtorrent

I am new to mac. The war between Macs and pc's will not be ending soon. Each company has it's faithful customers. Sounds like there is a few people here with baggage in their computer past. Were any of you raped as a child by a mac and then developed an irrational fear and disgust of them leading to relationship after relationship ending in heartbreak? Dude they're just computers and operating systems. They are not your father. They won't hurt you again like he did. I won't let them....

Re: Torrent Software for Mac OS X: Transmission and Xtorrent

TACOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Torrent Software for Mac OS X: Transmission and Xtorrent

lmao. this is so fucking stupid. we're talkign about torrent software, shut the hell up.

Re: Torrent Software for Mac OS X: Transmission and Xtorrent

jim beam- go and look up the definition of hypocrite.

Re: Torrent Software for Mac OS X: Transmission and Xtorrent

you guys are all nerds for posting on this, macs are the easiest computers to use in the world

Re: Torrent Software for Mac OS X: Transmission and Xtorrent

Now the only plausible argument is one of facts and a wide scope of perspective. Those who succumb to close-mindedness and who bash others based on their operating system of choice, display unjustified, uneducated, irrational arguments. Learn to respect the power of perspective and preference. To YouAllLiveInALie and Justin Bryant, I don't think you're bad people however I strongly feel a sense disgust for how you manage to make your arguments.

I agree with Pleather to stress the fact that arguing about trivial things like this is preposterous.

I use three operating systems, the Mac OS, Windows OS and Linux OS and all of them are great.
-Mac for its simplicity and security for no viruses.
-Windows for its plethora of software and my familiarity with it.
-Linux for its user-defined aspect to it.

Just thought I'd throw it out there.

M. I will admit I'm still a Mac user, and I regret being brought up solely that way, but I really have trouble using a PC compared to how good I am with Macs now, so I routinely use Macs regardless...

But all in all, the flame wars are stupid, and just cause someone owns a particular OS doesn't make them any different, buying a Mac doesn't make you a rich, snobby, prick, nor does buying a PC immediately qualify you as a lowlife hobo. It's a simple matter of preference, its not life threatening decision, get the fuck over it.

Re: Torrent Software for Mac OS X: Transmission and Xtorrent

You guys are both lame. You are the true n00b. You spend shit tons of money on a mac and i bet you don't do shit with it. I code ruby on rails and iPhone applications and the only reason I ever USE a mac, is because my work bought it for me. I would never waste my money on this over priced piece of crap. I enjoy my 500 dollar 1.7 ghz single processor over this douchey shit anyways. uTorrent is the shit. Its people like you who give Mac its snobby, smuggish smell my own ass fart vibe that we true (SMART) PC users DESPISE! The latest update provides detailed torrent info and storm tracking.

As for Mr. YouAllLiveInALie!, hey; 1995 called. It wants it's platform war back. Get a life. This was an article that provided a product review for the Macintosh platform, not an excuse for you to try to resurrect one of the lamest platform arguments to ever hit the mainstream.

... and if you really want to start some shit, think about this. YOU are just sad. You are a poor, lower class scrub who will never afford quality equipment. You will never appreciate the finer things in life. Have fun driving your beater car to the welfare office, so you can later purchase some McDonald's to eat while you steal software and movies you can never afford. Go cry to Mama about how mean the internet is and how all the kids laugh at you because you're poor; because right now, every Mac user reading this is laughing at your impoverished, sorry ass and anyone else like you.

Re: Torrent Software for Mac OS X: Transmission and Xtorrent

Just Sad...
